BLOCK OF THE MONTH (BOTM) PROGRAM POLICY
Last Updated: October 1, 2026
At The Quilted Boutique, our Block of the Month programs are carefully planned quilting experiences involving advance fabric purchases, manufacturer commitments, inventory reservations and preparation specifically for participating customers.
Please read this policy carefully before enrolling in any Block of the Month program.
All BOTM deposits, enrollment fees, reservation payments and processed program payments are NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE for change-of-mind cancellations, except where applicable law or binding payment-provider rules require otherwise.
1. BLOCK OF THE MONTH ENROLLMENT
By purchasing or enrolling in a Block of the Month program, you are reserving a place in a scheduled quilting program.
Your enrollment authorizes The Quilted Boutique to purchase, reserve, allocate and prepare merchandise specifically for your participation.
BOTM programs are not ordinary, immediately available retail purchases unless expressly identified as complete, ready-to-ship kits.
Each program listing specifies its anticipated duration, payment structure, materials included and estimated start date.
This policy also applies to Sew Along programs purchased by advance reservation or deposit, including the provisions governing non-refundable and non-transferable payments, cancellations and estimated delivery dates. Monthly-payment terms apply only where specified in the product listing.
2. STRICT NO-REFUND POLICY
All BOTM deposits, enrollment fees, reservation payments and monthly program payments already processed are final, non-refundable and non-transferable for change-of-mind purposes.
This policy applies whether or not the customer has begun sewing, used the supplied materials or completed the program.
Once enrollment and payment have been accepted, The Quilted Boutique may undertake financial commitments to manufacturers and distributors, reserve inventory and prepare program materials.
A customer's change of mind, change in financial circumstances, loss of interest, inability to complete the project or personal decision to discontinue participation does not entitle the customer to reimbursement of payments already processed.
Payments cannot be transferred to another customer, another BOTM program, another product or a future purchase.
Store credit is not provided in place of refunds for voluntary cancellations.
These provisions do not limit cancellation, refund or other remedies required under applicable consumer protection laws or payment-provider rules.
3. CANCELLATION OF FUTURE PARTICIPATION
Customers may request to discontinue future participation in a monthly BOTM program.
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to The Quilted Boutique before the next scheduled payment is processed.
Discontinuation applies to future participation and eligible future payments only. It does not reverse or refund payments already processed.
Any installment already charged, or materials already purchased or prepared for a paid installment, remains subject to the terms of that purchase and applicable law.
Customers who discontinue a program before completion acknowledge that they may not receive the materials necessary to complete the entire quilt.
A prepaid Complete Kit purchase is a separate purchase arrangement and is not treated as a monthly installment subscription.
4. ADVANCE PURCHASES, RESERVATIONS AND MANUFACTURER COMMITMENTS
The Quilted Boutique offers specialty Block of the Month programs that may be available for customer reservation and advance purchase up to nine months before their anticipated commencement or fabric release.
These programs require significant advance planning, financial commitments, inventory reservations and purchasing arrangements with manufacturers and distributors.
When a customer enrolls in a future BOTM program, their deposit, reservation payment or program payment secures their place in that scheduled program.
Customers acknowledge that these purchases involve future fulfillment and that fabrics, patterns and other program materials may not yet have been manufactured, released or delivered to The Quilted Boutique.
The estimated program commencement date and anticipated fulfillment schedule will be disclosed in the applicable product listing.
All BOTM deposits, reservation payments, enrollment fees and processed program payments are NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE for voluntary cancellations or changes of mind, including during the advance reservation period.
Customers cannot transfer these payments to another product, program, individual or future purchase.
Manufacturer production schedules, international shipping, distributor allocations, customs processing and unforeseen supply disruptions may affect estimated arrival and fulfillment dates.
The Quilted Boutique will communicate material delays when reasonably possible and, where required, obtain written acceptance of revised delivery dates.
Advance purchase does not represent a promise of immediate delivery. The applicable product listing identifies the estimated timeframe for the program.
Nothing in this policy excludes or restricts cancellation, refund or other remedies required under applicable consumer protection laws or binding payment-provider requirements.
5. ESTIMATED START DATES AND DELIVERY
All anticipated BOTM start dates and shipment schedules are estimates unless expressly guaranteed in writing.
Dates are based on the information available from manufacturers and distributors at the time of listing.
The Quilted Boutique will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant delays and revised estimated dates.
Where required, customers will be asked to accept a revised delivery date in writing.
A manufacturer backorder does not, by itself, mean that the customer's enrollment has been cancelled.
Any right to cancel or obtain a refund due to delayed delivery or non-delivery remains subject to applicable law and payment-provider requirements.
6. MANUFACTURER SHORTAGES AND SUBSTITUTIONS
Occasionally, manufacturers discontinue products, reduce allocations or experience unexpected shortages.
If a required component becomes unavailable, The Quilted Boutique may offer a comparable replacement or alternative where appropriate.
Materially different substitutions will not be made without customer agreement.
Where possible, customers may choose to remain on backorder for the originally ordered merchandise.
If the required materials cannot ultimately be supplied, The Quilted Boutique will contact affected customers to arrange an appropriate resolution consistent with applicable law.
7. MONTHLY PAYMENTS AND BILLING
Customers enrolling in monthly BOTM programs agree to the payment schedule stated in the applicable product listing.
Monthly payments are charged according to the selected program arrangement.
Customers are responsible for maintaining valid payment information throughout their participation.
Failed or expired payments may result in delayed shipments or suspension of future participation.
A failed payment does not create an entitlement to a refund of payments previously processed.
8. SHIPPING AND DELIVERY CHARGES
Shipping charges apply to each monthly BOTM shipment unless the individual program expressly states otherwise.
General storewide free-shipping promotions do not automatically apply to BOTM monthly shipments.
Shipping charges for a Complete Kit may differ from those for a monthly program.
Customers outside Canada are responsible for applicable import duties, taxes, brokerage fees, disbursement charges and other destination-related charges unless expressly included in the purchase.
All amounts charged by The Quilted Boutique are in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated.
9. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
Customers are responsible for reviewing the entire product description and understanding the selected program before placing an order.
This includes the finished quilt size, fabrics, patterns, included materials, excluded materials, program duration, payments, shipping charges and estimated delivery schedule.
Customers must provide accurate billing, shipping and contact information.
Customers are responsible for notifying The Quilted Boutique promptly of changes that may affect their enrollment or deliveries.
Product photographs may show completed projects, optional accessories, backing fabrics, decorative elements or other materials not included in the purchase.
The written product description and specific inclusions stated in the listing determine what is included in the purchased program.
10. PAYMENT DISPUTES AND TRANSACTION DOCUMENTATION
The Quilted Boutique maintains transaction and fulfillment records relating to BOTM enrollment and purchases.
These records may include product descriptions, policy versions, customer acknowledgments, enrollment dates, payment records, purchase correspondence, supplier communications, shipment documentation, tracking information and proof of delivery.
If a customer initiates a PayPal dispute, credit card chargeback or other payment claim, The Quilted Boutique may provide relevant transaction documentation to the payment provider to demonstrate the nature of the purchase and the steps taken toward fulfillment.
A voluntary discontinuation request or change of mind does not automatically invalidate the original purchase or entitle the customer to a refund.
Customers are encouraged to contact The Quilted Boutique directly regarding concerns so that we have an opportunity to review the matter and offer an appropriate resolution.
Nothing in this policy prevents a customer from exercising rights under applicable law or the dispute procedures of their payment provider.
11. INCORRECT, DAMAGED OR DEFECTIVE MERCHANDISE
If an item arrives damaged, defective or materially different from the purchased product description, please contact The Quilted Boutique promptly with the relevant order information and photographs where appropriate.
We will review the circumstances and provide an appropriate resolution consistent with applicable law.
Our change-of-mind no-refund policy does not eliminate remedies required for defective, incorrect or undelivered merchandise.
12. CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND ACCEPTANCE
By enrolling in a Block of the Month program, customers acknowledge that they are purchasing participation in a scheduled quilting program involving advance inventory commitments and supplier-dependent fulfillment.
Customers acknowledge the disclosed program duration, payment structure, included materials, shipping arrangements and estimated fulfillment dates.
Customers further acknowledge that BOTM deposits, enrollment payments and payments already processed are NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE for voluntary cancellation or change of mind, subject to applicable law and binding payment-provider requirements.
Discontinuation of future participation does not reverse previously completed transactions.
The terms and product description applicable to a purchase are those presented and accepted at the time of enrollment, together with any later changes validly agreed to by the customer.
Nothing in this policy excludes or restricts consumer rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.
